About Us
Mission, Vision & Values Policy
The mission of iKids Pediatrics is to provide better quality care for both well and sick patients using the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. In this model, we work in a team-based approach in which the most important member is YOU!
Our objectives
To carry out this mission and foster excellent practice of pediatric medicine, iKids Pediatrics must:
Our Founder's Vision
iKids Pediatrics is constantly striving to lead in patient experience, clinical outcomes, and patient education.
When Dr. Marcia Gayoso welcomed her first patients on April 13, 2009, her mission was clearly in place: “to provide better quality care of the well and the sick, evaluate their concerns, and educate those who we serve.”
Dr. Gayoso, drawing from her years practicing medicine, believed in diverse specialists working and thinking as a unit. This kind of cooperation, efficiency, and shared vision has fostered excellence in patient care and education. These principles endure today at iKids Pediatrics.
Statement of Values
iKids Pediatrics was established by a visionary leader who believed in simple, guiding principles. Six fundamental values form the foundation of the iKids Pediatrics culture:
Commitment to Principles
Childhood is a unique and valuable stage in the human life cycle. Our paramount responsibility is to provide healthcare and education in settings that are safe, healthy, nurturing, and supportive for each child. We are committed to supporting adolescent development and learning; respecting individual differences; and helping children learn to live, play, and work cooperatively, leading a healthier life. We are also committed to promoting children’s self-awareness, competence, self-worth, resiliency, and physical well-being.
Families are of primary importance in children’s development and well-being. Because the family and the early childhood practitioner have a common interest in the child’s well-being, we acknowledge a primary responsibility to bring about communication, cooperation, and collaboration between the home and early childhood program in ways that enhance the child’s development and well-being.
